This is my first ever bullet journal book review. Let me just say right off the bat that I am not being compensated for this review. It’s 100% my own opinion based on digging through the book and using it myself.Ready to use habit tracker bullet journal book.

What’s Included in This Handy Book?

It might be easier to tell you what is NOT included. I’m not sure what I expected when I opened the box after receiving it in the mail. The title says “Ready to Use Habit Trackers”.

So, I guess I figured it would just be a collection of habit trackers that I could doodle on.

Fill in some squares with colors.

And work on establishing habits.

Because…it’s already formatted on each page for you.

The book includes so much more. Below are just a few elements of this book:

  • An introduction to Rachel Watts (her blog is Planning Mindfully) and how she uses bullet journals in her own life (if you were wondering if bujos are for you…this might clear that up!).
  • There is a discussion of what Habit Trackers are and why they are important (like sleep trackers).
  • Lists of other types of trackers. And a HUGE selection of things that you can actually track with a habit tracker. If you weren’t sure about what habit you wanted to work on, this list will help inspire you!
  • Mind maps for visualizing what goals you want to achieve.
  • Worksheets to help you break down those goals into actionable steps.
  • A guide on how to review your progress and the results of your habit trackers (instead of just putting them aside and forgetting about them.
  • A full 12 months of trackers. There are 10 pages for each month. Some trackers are guided and others are left to you to design a habit tracker that fits your needs. Each month ends with a “review” so you can analyze what went well and what needs to be tweaked.

Is This Book Worth the Money?

I have a book addiction.

Let’s just get that out of the way first. I think all the books are worth something. Even if the information is redundant. Someone will end up loving them.

This book is a great book for anyone that wants to start tracking their habits. And it would be the first book that I would recommend you buy if you were looking to start a bullet journaling collection.

It really does cover everything and it provides a ton of content and use for your money.

The drawback?

You actually have to use it.

You can’t just put it on your shelf and expect to “learn how to use habit trackers”. You have to actually give it a try!

You Can Mix and Match

Maybe you already have a bullet journal or habit tracker started. Or you like designing your trackers from scratch.Customize your own bullet journal book.

Don’t let the title “Ready to Use Habit Trackers” fool you. There is a wealth of other information that you can use in this book besides just the trackers.

The guide on what a tracker is, the lists of things to track, and the establishing goals section are all very valuable.

Use them as a guide to inspire your next bullet journal layout or the next habit tracker that you want to add to your planner.

My Plan for Using this Book

It takes me a while to actually get up the nerve to write in a book.

It’s those blank page jitters.

The what if I mess it up and the whole thing is ruined fears.

And my follow through is sometimes rotten. This time I have a plan (or a goal that I can track *wink*).

I’m reading two other books about goal setting and creating habits. My plan is to use the Ready to Use Habit Tracker pages to work out my goals. Once those are established then I will fill those into the habit tracker pages. This book is going to turn into my workbook and go along with my Atomic Habits work and 12 Week Year.Using a bullet journal book to track your goals.

One of the habits I will track will be “using my tracker”. It will be a key component in following the steps I need to in order to reach my goals.

The key to using any book, habit tracker, planner, or guide is to adjust parts of it to fit your needs. Your planner goals are as unique as you are. Books are a guide. They are teaching you the basics and then you need to implement them so they work for you.

Give it a try and tell me what you think!
